Three 1/2" CMOS imagers deliver full HD with excellent light sensitivity and low video noise. Separate color imagers provide precise color separation for critical green screen processes. Records high-quality audio on two channels at 16-bit depth and 48Khz sampling - making a separate audio recorder unnecessary. The large sensors and the fast F1.9 lens allow creative use of bokeh (shallow depth of field/selective focus). Interchangeable lens mount accepts additional prime and zoom lenses with adapter. Records full HD at 1080p or 1080i, 30/24fps (also offers 60fps super smooth slow motion at 720).

Handycam convenience with professional manual overides make this camcorder an excellent choice for event videos. Three low-power 1/4" CMOS sensors enable up to five hours of recording on a single NP970 battery. Records in HDV or SD on inexpensive miniDV cassette tapes (one-hour tapes). Downloads for capture using Firwire only (no USB ports).
Please note: The V1U can record excellent video with daylight light levels, but is not well-suited for low-light shooting.
